Term time art classes 10am - 11am. The Friday Pre-school Messy Art Class is for children from toddler through preschool age (1 (sitting) to 5 years old). Just like the classes for older children, each week the children will focus on a piece of art, anything from historic masterpieces to art trending on social media. Learning through Art. NOTE: No high chairs provided. "I love the toddler class Celia holds at her lovely home. A lovely art activity each week for the Children but a pot of coffee for me and the other mums...she also have biscuits. It’s not all about the kids." - Rachael and 2.5 year old Ruth For young children, art is a great form of self-expression, and helps them develop skills like fine motor control, colour recognition and spatial awareness. I design the class to teach listening, patience, colours, counting, sharing and general knowledge all through art. I use repetition with my words and simple planned out activities so the children can follow along and create their own unique works of art. Please note that parents or carers must attend the class along with the child(ren). Benefits of art classes Children make new friends, build confidence and learn new ways of self-expression. They gain an understanding of art history and the world around us. The classes expose children to the many genres, medias and are techniques. Throughout the class children have time to reflect in a calm and encouraging environment, allowing them to grow and develop throughout the term. What you need to bring All art materials are provided for you child. You will need to bring their own water bottle and make sure they wear clothes that can get messy. To store their completed art, I sell portfolios and art folders through my shop. "The preschool class is so lovely. My little ones love it but seeing the rabbit in the garden and her Dog Bow makes her week. Celia is so welcoming, her home is always clean and tidy plus my fridge is full of colour now." - Jane and Lulu
