The Art Advanced to Aptitude Class runs for seven weeks. This is an advanced art class for older children age 9 plus, who loves art and wants to develop their talent. Whether your child plans to attend the local art aptitude exams for the secondary school or you are encouraging your child’s artistic skills, this class is an opportunity to build their drawing skills and knowledge of life drawing. Their art work can be used to build an art portfolio for art scholarships for secondary school as well as for their own satisfaction and pride. "My one to one classes with Miss Celia have really helped me become more confident drawing art at school. My knowledge and understanding has come from Miss Celia as I don’t remember doing anything towards the end of primary school. I was so nervous about doing art in secondary but now I’m not." - Elvin (age 11) Who is the class for? The class is for children in years 5+. This class is for learning advanced art skills, and it is designed to help children planning to take the art aptitude test. However, any child who wishes to take advanced art will find this class welcoming. Benefits of art classes Children make new friends, build confidence and learn new ways of self-expression. They gain an understanding of art history and the world around us. The classes expose children to the many genres, medias and are techniques. Throughout the class children have time to reflect in a calm and encouraging environment, allowing them to grow and develop throughout the term.
