FAQs
Below are some frequently asked questions about the classes. If you can't find an answer here, please get in touch.
I teach through the great masters of art, venturing from classical forms to impressionism and pop art. Children learn art history each week by focusing on a new artist, and they create their own works of art inspired by iconic work.
Each term I cover new artists, artwork and materials. See this term's artists page to view what we are studying now.

Our classes are varied, giving kids access to new materials and techniques. During class children are always asked to share their thoughts and feelings towards art, materials used and favourite art work. Classes can then be adapted to the group's interests or requests.
Please feel feel to contact me if you have a piece of artwork or artists you would like your child to cover during the term.
All art materials art provided for all of my classes. All children need to bring is their own waterbottle and snack. During holidays clubs they also need to bring a lunch bag with extra snacks, a waterbottle and depending on weather suncream or a rain coat.
If you have an art folder, please bring it to take artwork home safely. You can purchase art portfolios and art folders from my online shop.
Allowing your child to sit on your lap when they are small, will give them a sense of comfort and safety. This will make them feel secure, letting them enjoy and take part in the art activities.
When your child is small and still exploring, they are welcome to leave the room for a break, to then re-join the table. Encouraging your child to re-join the group and sit back at the table (on or off your lap) will each time, is challenging but worth it as they realise they can join in with the activities, when sitting down. This behaviour is incredibly important with their learning in and around the home, socially and in education. When the child gets older and more confident, then encourage them to sit on a chair next to you.
