THE IMPORTANCE OF ART
I teach through the great masters of art, venturing from classical forms to impressionism and pop art. Children learn art history each week by focusing on a new artist, and they create their own masterpieces inspired by iconic work.
The classes are varied, giving kids access to different materials and techniques. I give positive feedback which encourages the children to be confident and proud of their finished works of art.
Art can help in all areas of learning and development, and it’s evident in Art With Little Pics classes where I see:

DOVES FOR PEACE
My name is Alexa Young
To raise awareness of the suffering of children caught up in war zones across the globe, Doves for Peace asked artists and celebrities to create an artwork of a dove, the international symbol of peace. The artworks are to be auctioned at Fielding Auctioneers on Thursday 19th September 2024, with the proceeds going to War Child.
I proposed this heartwarming project to my Wednesday after school club students, whereby each student would blend their individual styles to the artwork and instill a sense of cooperation and shared vision of which has been warmly welcomed by Doves for Peace.
